Overview

To carry out the company mission of creating authentic, memorable entertainment experiences which inspire people, within the retail areas of M&E, (including retail locations at the Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry House and Plaza, Opry Originals, 65 South and at off-site in which Ryman Hospitality participates).  Adhere to the company service basics while providing flawless service to all our guests while promoting the retail products within each location. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide polite and courteous service to all guests. Provide information about current and upcoming events, while actively greeting and welcoming all guests into the store.
  • Accountable for daily cash register sales and proper check in/check out procedures, adhering to Ryman Hospitality cash-handling policies
  • Responsible for actively upselling to every sale while on the register. Carry out up selling philosophy as directed by the MOD.
  • Maintain general order and cleanliness of cash register area. Includes keeping register free and clean of additional product.  Maintain back counter and keep organized and clear of excess product and clutter.
  • Keep merchandise stocked and in neat order on the sales floor and stockrooms throughout the shift
  • Responsible for adhering to customer service initiatives while on the sales floor
  • Provide the management team with customer comments and feedback about the merchandise, offerings and experiences at our facilities.
  • Report any concerns, maintenance problems, etc…to management.
  • Responsible for being familiar with emergency procedures and responding accordingly in emergency situations, including properly evacuating the retail location, moving all employees and guests at least 300 feet from the building, should an evacuation become necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • HS diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • At least one year of experience in customer service, sales, and/or cash handling preferred. 
  • Possess an outgoing personality and an aptitude for sales.
