Overview

To carry out the company mission of creating authentic, memorable entertainment experiences which inspire people within the retail areas of OEG (including retail locations at the Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry House and Plaza and at off-site locations in which Ryman Hospitality participates).  Adhere to the company service basics while providing flawless service to all our guests while promoting the retail products within each location. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide polite and courteous service to all guests. Provide information about current and upcoming events, while actively greeting and welcoming all guests. 
  • Actively engage all guests.  Provide excellent customer service by adhering to all customer service initiatives as laid out by the Store Manager. 
  • Actively sell and upsell products based on customer likes and needs.  Ensure adding on to sales is done with consistency
  • Learn and know the guest photo program process.  Become proficient in the products we offer to better assist all guests. 
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining merchandising presentation.   Print guest photos and create photo packages as quickly and efficiently as possible so they are ready to view when guests reach the end of their tour.
  • Maintain general order and cleanliness of remote merchandise locations and stockrooms. This will includes cleaning windows, spot sweeping of floors, dusting of merchandise displays and emptying trashcans as needed.
  • Keep merchandise at the photo kiosk stocked, properly filled and organized with supplies throughout the shift.
  • Provide the management team with customer comments and feedback about the merchandise, offerings and experiences at our facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for being familiar with emergency procedures and responding accordingly in emergency situations, including properly evacuating the retail location, moving all employees and guests at least 300 feet from the building, should an evacuation become necessary.

Qualifications

Education:

  • HS diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • At least one year of experience in customer service, sales, and/or cash handling preferred.  Possess an outgoing personality, a willingness to learn the guest photo process and an aptitude for sales.
