The Corporate Communications Specialist supports the development and implementation of communications, training and employee engagement programs that support our employee-centric culture, promote a highly-engaged workforce and empower our employees to serve as brand ambassadors for our company. This position will also support the company’s external communications objectives on certain initiatives.


  • Creates, writes and edits various communications materials, including company emails, printed and online publications, intranet communications, employee meetings and events, videos and announcements that foster open communication throughout the organization and reinforce our company culture, vision and values.
  • Keeps an editorial calendar of company events and news, perks & benefits opportunities and major company milestones. Works closely with key business partners to ensure compelling content is documented and shared with the broader employee base.
  • Influences the buildout and maintains information on company employee portal, break room boards and monitors to ensure consistency, relevance and accuracy.
  • Supports the training objectives of the company by assisting with onboarding / orientation activities; promotes training and development opportunities to the appropriate employee base.
  • Supports company’s value of fun by concepting, organizing and promoting employee events and activities designed to foster employee satisfaction; supports employee involvement in company sponsored internal and external outreach events and community volunteering; assists with employee incentives, contests, ticket distributions and other engagement activities.
  • Assists with writing speeches, press releases and position papers on issues, and develops messaging statements.
  • May participate in activities that promote company visibility, build a strong company image, and increase public awareness.
  • Participates in company’s business continuity structure by providing internal communications during business impacting events, such as inclement weather.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • BA in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, English or like field


  • A minimum of 2-3 years of related internal or external experience. Media relations experience a plus. Agency experience preferred. 
  • Licenses/Certifications  Excellent writing, proofing and editing skills; Strong grasp of AP Style; Fluency with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Office); Proficiency with common graphic design programs or ability to quickly learn the required skills; Familiarity with web design and video production.
