The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Food & Beverage Operations will provide strategic vision and dynamic leadership for all food and beverage operations within the Opry Entertainment Group division. This individual will be responsible for the maximization of growth and profitability in our existing operations: Ole Red and Opry City Stage restaurants, as well as the food and beverage offerings at the Ryman Auditorium (Concessions and Café Lula) and the Grand Ole Opry House (Concessions, Back Porch Barbeque food truck and VIP Lounge). The SVP will ensure our venues consistently deliver flawless food and beverage execution, engaging live entertainment and a seamless brand experience. Additionally, he/she will partner with senior leadership to effectively develop and expand our restaurant concepts into new domestic and international markets.   


  • Lead the development of and set the standard for excellence in food and beverage operations, customer service and financial return
  • Develop accurate and aggressive long and short-range financial objectives to meet and/or exceed projected goals  
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement to determine areas needing cost reduction, expense control and program improvement
  • Serve as a leader and role model creating working environments that reinforce our company’s service based culture, where employees feel inspired to deliver exceptional experiences for all guests
  • Actively involved with recruiting, hiring, and developing team members in support of building and maintaining a strong bench for future growth
  • Recognize, motivate and celebrate individuals and teams delivering outstanding performance
  • Define and implement key performance indicators and metrics, drive improvement initiatives and encourage a culture of excellence, efficiency, innovation, and customer service
  • Partner with the Business Development group to successfully develop and execute the company’s restaurant expansion plans
  • Produce new and innovative ideas/strategies that will maximize our current portfolio of food and beverage operations to their highest service and culinary potential, which will in turn drive increases in sales, revenue and efficiency
  • Provide guidance and leadership to direct and indirect food and beverage leaders by defining priorities, identifying improvement opportunities and fostering a commitment to the company’s values and vision to ensure a culture that promotes growth and development
  • Review, recommend, and standardize prices and budgetary allotments regarding food, beverage and labor costs
  • Partner with senior leaders to execute and ensure the consistent delivery of best-in-class experiences (food and beverage, live entertainment and retail) in all venues
  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations/Hospitality Management or other related discipline required
  • MBA or advance degree preferred


  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible Operations leadership in a multi-unit restaurant company or hospitality business
  • Substantial experience in the design, construction, and opening of new restaurants

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Keen understanding and knowledge of the restaurant industry, with an exceptional aptitude for restaurant operations
  • Advanced financial acumen and business development skills, to include significant P&L experience
  • Engaging and motivating leader, compelled to lead by example and drive for strong results
  • Accustomed to working on high-growth or developing brands with a history of cultivating meaningful solutions and strength in identifying growth opportunities
  • Extensive expertise in formulating, implementing and executing business plans
  • Leadership strength in building, inspiring and motivating teams
  • Highly skilled in identifying, cultivating and developing talent
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across business and multi-functional teams, developing strong business relationships and partnerships
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to travel as necessary to support current and future growth
