Overview

Responsible for assisting stores in adhering to visual standards set by the company.  Responsible for publishing monthly merchandising communication to stores.   Responsible for creating a best in class Retail Employee training program that will inspire and instill the company culture in each employee. 

Responsibilities

  • Create a training program that will serve to equip new employees as well as refresher courses for seasoned employees, keeping training updated as the business changes and evolves.
  • Create training materials for Retail Employees that will equip them to offer the best possible experience to our guests.
  • Collaborate with Store Managers and create job-specific learning task checklists and a roadmap for new employees to ensure tasks are prioritized based on their job description and the needs of that particular location.
  • Work with the Director of Product Development to create a document of Visual Standards specific to each location, keeping each brand within the standards of the company.
  • Visit stores to teach and train employees company Visual Standards offering hands-on training whenever possible as well as personally exemplifying the highest standards of excellent customer service.
  • Create and maintain a catalog of store fixtures including a photo, dimensions, quantity and exact location for use by the buying team.
  • Be a member of the store setup team for new stores, seasonal layouts/sets for existing stores and special events setup

Qualifications

Education:           

  • High school graduate, college preferred.

Experience:         

  • 2+ years of experience in retail operations and 1+ year experience of delivering training required. 
  • Strong visual merchandising skills, computer skills, problem solving and communication and organizational skills are required. 
  • Experience in writing Standard Operating Procedures and/or Training preferred.

Licenses/Certifications: 

  • Valid Tennessee Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record required.
