The Advertising & Promotions Manager is responsible for planning and execution of advertising and promotion efforts for Ryman and Opry House concerts and other Ryman events/products. The Manager is also responsible for on-site marketing efforts at the Ryman.


  • Collaborate with internal teams as well as clients/promoters/artist teams to create media plans which comply with client/promoter/artist team goals/requirements, adhere to established budgets and will yield budgeted sales goals.
  • Working from approved plans, negotiate and place media buys including print, radio and television. Working with internal and 3rd party vendors, insure that creative deadlines are met, providing appropriate information/direction and taking into consideration all parties with approval requirements. Traffic media to insure that contracted ads and spots are run. Process invoices and compile marketing settlements whenever necessary.
  • Develop and execute media and third party promotions and street level marketing programs that drive ticket sales, drive awareness and enhance brand perception.
  • Manage on-site marketing efforts at the Ryman including: digital and static signage, flyers and other collateral.
  • Ensure that Hatch Show Prints are created for appropriate events, collaborating with internal teams, clients and artists when necessary. Manage Hatch Show Print library; logging new items and tracking inventory.
  • Serve as backup to Ryman PR & Digital Media Manager on management of digital channels, photo/video shoots, artist interviews, red carpets, etc.
  • Assist with fulfillment of exposure elements of sponsorship agreements.
  • Cover on-site promotions, shows and events, serving as “Manager on Duty” as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising/Communications.


  • 3+ years related experience
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Basic understanding of graphic design programs Adobe, Illustrator a plus
  • Proof reading experience a plus - copy and ad content
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with differing deadlines
  • Ability to deal with confidential information
  • Superior attention to detail and organization
