Overview

The Training and Employee Relations Specialist will provide key support to the company’s culture by supporting key initiatives from the company’s Training Manager and HR Manager. This role will demonstrate a strong commitment to the equitable administration of the Company’s policies, practices, and standards, establish credibility through effective listening, proactive relationship building, and creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures policies and procedures are implemented fairly throughout the organization in alignment with our company guiding principles and service standards.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of Employee Relations and Training initiatives (anniversary awards, rewards and recognition, employee engagement training programs, etc.)
  • Coordinate sessions offered through the training department to include: communicating, scheduling, managing enrollment, preparing roster, setting room, ordering food and beverage, reporting and entering session feedback.
  • Assists the HR Manager in assuring legal compliance in all areas including employee relations, and other HR-related disciplines.
  • Assists the Training Manager in conducting and facilitating cultural related Training sessions (orientation, roadmap training, etc.)
  • Track training and certifications and maintain the training database.  
  • Prepares and responds to confidential company matters.  
  • Coordinates and facilitates training relative to Employee Relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • B.S. Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in employee relations and training or related field preferred or comparable work experience and/or education. 
  • Must be able to work effectively with others, be innovative and collaborative, possess good judgment and be responsive to change
  • Must possess excellent oral and verbal skills as well as effective interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
