Overview

Responsible for the  deep cleaning processes such as hot water extraction of upholstery or carpets, stripping and waxing of hard surface floors, operation of equipment such as floor scrubbers, extractors, and specialty equipment used for deep cleaning purposes. Provide custodial cleaning services to the facilities of the Grand Ole Opry House, Call Center, Acuff House and WSM Radio offices.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the deep cleaning processes for all areas of the Grand Ole Opry House, Opry Call Center, Acuff House and WSM Radio that includes but is not limited to hot water extraction of upholstery or carpets, stripping and waxing of hard surface floors, operation of equipment such as floor scrubbers, extractors, and specialty equipment used for deep cleaning purposes in restrooms or other areas. 
  • Responsible for the daily detailed cleaning of lobbies and public areas of the Grand Ole Opry House and after events. These functions include but are not limited to trash removal from trash receptacles, fixtures and floors; mopping or scrubbing of floors and steps; vacuum carpets; clean or dust benches window ledges, kiosks, light fixtures, bar roof, hand rails and step railings, pictures, directional signage, air conditioning vents and walls. Cleaning of windows to remove fingerprints and smudges; clean and sanitize water fountains and all door handles and door push plates 
  • Responsible for the detailed cleaning of the auditorium of the Grand Ole Opry House after events and load in days of events. Duties include but are not limited to trash removal from seats, floors and trash receptacles; detail cleaning of all seating areas and floors by blowing or vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of floors; vacuum all carpet areas, spot clean any spills on seating area and carpets; dust all wood trim around seating areas; removal of gum or tape on seating areas. 
  • Responsible for cleaning of all prop rooms, Opry Stage, Studio A and associated areas of the Grand Ole Opry House after all events. Cleaning includes trash removal, mopping and scrubbing of hard surface floors areas; vacuum of walk off mats and carpets; dusting; cleaning of band cage (if utilized); cleaning and sanitizing restrooms. 
  • Responsible for detailed cleaning, restocking and sanitizing restroom facilities in all areas using approved products and processes. These duties include daily cleaning and sanitizing toilets, urinals, walls, stalls, sinks and faucets, and floors. Emptying and cleaning of trash cans, cleaning faucets and counter tops, light fixtures and mirrors to provide a clean and fresh facility for our guests and employees. Daily service and maintenance of restroom facilities to clean and restock products as required for business needs. 
  • Responsible for the detailed cleaning of office, restrooms and break room areas that include dusting of furniture, light bulbs, pictures, walls, cleaning of mirrors and glass windows in doors, blinds, light fixtures; properly maintain floors including hardwood floors by sweeping, vacuuming or mopping of floors; buff tile floors; trash removal; recycle paper and plastic products at the Opry Call Center, WSM Radio and Acuff House. Must properly and safely use all chemicals for their intended purpose and utilize proper personal protection equipment as required.. 
  • Responsible for the detailed cleaning of office, restrooms, lobbies and dressing room areas of the Grand Ole Opry House that includes but not limited to dusting of furniture, light bulbs, pictures, walls, cleaning of mirrors and glass windows in doors, blinds, light fixtures; vacuuming or mopping of floors; trash removal; recycle paper and plastic products. Must properly and safely use all chemicals for their intended purpose and utilize proper personal protection equipment as required. 
  • Responsible for following all safety requirements of this positing including use of personnel protection equipment, awareness of Safety Data Sheet information of all chemicals used and a knowledge of safe work habits . Responsible for working in a safe and efficient manner in order to provide clean and safe working environment for self and others. Operates motor vehicles safely in accordance to regulations and laws. 
  • Acts as a lead person in absence of Supervisor. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 

Experience:

  • 4 years experience preferred 

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid Tennessee Driver’s License with a Satisfactory Driving Record
