Overview

The VP, Sponsorships will lead all sponsorship efforts across the Opry Entertainment Group portfolio. Activities include developing and executing a comprehensive sponsorship strategy, directing and defining all sponsorship sales management functions, category/supplier contract development, and marketing/promotional programs with current and new partners for the Opry Entertainment Group.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and define the methods, processes and systems for partnership sales management, contract development and partnership marketing elements for the Opry Entertainment Group.
  • Manage and direct partnership sales managers
  • Develop and leverage supplier/partner relationships to further achieve short and long term strategic Opry Entertainment business goals and needs
  • Direct and define department sales communication strategy and plans as it relates to internal clients (business units and corporate leadership), and partners
  • Direct the negotiation of terms and conditions for renewing current alliance partnerships as well as supplier category management coordination
  • Serve as Central Communication point across business units for Strategic Alliance department sales functions, processes and procedures
  • Apply, refine, validate, and continually identify best practices, processes, and tools for all sales processes and department sales functions
  • Manage and monitor annual department sales budget and associated reports and statements; Report and Track all value secured via partnership alliances in the form of cash, value in kind, co-marketing and/or meetings/room night commitments
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Related field required. MBA or commensurate experience preferred

Experience:

  • 10 plus years in a Sales, Marketing or multi-functional business role at managerial level or above required.
  • 4 plus years of managing brand or consumer marketing and/or sponsorship/partnership business functions.
  • Must possess a diverse skill set with leadership qualities and be a team player.
  • Excellent communication and strong marketing skills required. Project Management skills a plus.
