Responsible for production of Café Lula catering events from start to finish, as well as coordinating between sales team and clients to ensure event meets client’s expectations.
Solicit, secure, coordinate and respond to client inquiries regarding the purchase of food and beverage, rental of event facilities, and purchase of ancillary services for groups and meetings.
Keep an inventory of catering products and make decisions to purchase new products and supplies when necessary.
Market the café by holding events, using door to door marketing, and creating promotional activities to increase both catering and overall sales.
Communicate with and provide direction and supervision to team members, set up and break down event spaces, and remain onsite to ensure events run smoothly and with guidance.
Generate contracts and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and support daily distribution of BEOs.
Create client invoices, and work with management and the administrative accountant to make sure clients are billed in a timely manner, costs are maintained and recorded, and internal accounting is maintained.
Coordinate and oversee concert backstage catering provided by the café and assist Assistant F&B manager with backstage hospitality when needed.
Maintain clean, tidy, and organized catering rooms in the 2nd and 4th floors of Auditorium.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Graduate, college preferred
Minimum of two years’ experience in a full-service dining environment and/or private event catering.
Minimum one year of experience in customer service required.
Excellent public speaking required.
Good oral and listening communication skills required.
General computer knowledge/skills required.
Valid TN Driver’s License and Satisfactory driving record required.
