  • Overview

    Support expense and margin management initiatives for RHP’s hotels and attractions, including financial and operational analysis, variance analysis, budget and forecast review, ROI modeling, and various ad hoc projects.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Oversee Asset Management functions for three Marriott-managed Nashville attractions, including financial, operational, and capital review and analysis.
    • Analyze hotel financial and operational performance data to identify trends and opportunities in key departmental areas (e.g. Rooms, F&B, overhead departments) and provide recommendations to improve results.
    • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, conduct variance and key metrics analysis, and interact with operators to understand performance.
    • Assist with monthly forecasts and the annual budget and LRP processes.
    • Partner with RHP Accounting to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and provide analytical support for RHP’s quarterly earnings releases.
    • Maintain Asset Management reports and models, including the forecast summary, Marriott financial reports, management fee analysis, and benchmarking report.
    • Develop assumptions and create proformas for potential ROI projects, acquisitions, and/or other capital investment opportunities.
    • Act as an internal consultant on various ad hoc projects and assist with creation of presentations for a variety of topics and audiences.
    • Travel to hotels/attractions as needed to facilitate reviews.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education:           

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required. MBA or other advanced business degree preferred.

    Experience:         

    • Three to five years of financial analysis or strategic planning experience required.
    • Hospitality/hotel analytical experience preferred.
    • Requires innovative thinking and ability to diagnose and solve complex problems.
    • Requires excellent quantitative, technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Requires ability to interact with senior management and property leaders in a variety of settings.
    • Requires expert knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint.
