  • Overview

    The Director, Operations Support will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and serve as a critical link across OEG departments to help ensure that we efficiently and effectively operationalize key growth initiatives; ranging from venue expansion to strategic planning development, innovative operational approaches that lead to improved profitability and employee and guest satisfaction. This individual will ensure projects are delivered on brand, on time, on target, and on budget. 

     

    The Director, Operations Support will also be responsible for leading projects and approaches that lead to improved efficiency and effectiveness that enhance profitability. The role will grow in conjunction with the growth of OEG and may include oversight of contracted third party project managers and/or building an internal operations support team.

    Responsibilities

    • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders

    • Establish project success criteria and disseminate said criteria to involved parties throughout project. Proactively identify risk associated with project timeline, target and budget
    • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
      Identify, with department managers, the required personnel to contribute to assigned projects

    • Effectively communicate project expectations and status to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

    • Set and continually manage accountability related to project expectations with team members and other stakeholders

    • Identify unit level and brand operational efficiencies that are measurable and lead to improved results. Implement proven implementation practices and approaches such as Kaizen/4-DX.
    • Accountable for business and division profitability.
      In conjunction with COO, identify opportunities to improve operational standardization through the creation of Brand standards and SOP’s

    • Capture new venue opening learnings to improve future pre-opening plans on future projects.

    • Communicate project status, including escalation of high risk areas

    • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements

    • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments and levels of management within the company and support change, creativity and changing a status quo mind-set.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a related discipline or equivalent additional experience required
    • MBA preferred

    Experience:

    • 10+ years handling project engagements

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • An established track record of delivering successful projects and building effective project management functions
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
    • Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills require
    • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and assignments, to coordinate activities, resources, and planning requirements to ensure timely completion
    • Meticulous attention to detail required
    • Must possess excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) 

    Licenses/Certifications:
