    To conduct reviews of the effectiveness of controls established to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial records. Promotes operational efficiencies and encourages adherence to corporate objectives and policies.

    Responsibilities

    Job Description:

     

    • Maintains a commitment to the highest professional standards including independence, integrity, perseverance and confidentiality.
    • Performs audits of the less complex functions under supervision of Director of Internal Audit and identifies issues and proposes strategies related to the test procedures they execute.
    • Provides assistance to external auditors as necessary to enhance the overall audit process.
    • Assists in special projects and investigations of a less complex nature at the request of the company management to provide conclusions and information to management.
    • Obtains an understanding of company policies and procedures and identifies the need for policies which do not currently exist to provide additional support to executive management
    • Executes procedures, such as identifying audit risks, obtaining an understanding of routine data processes, testing controls, and performing substantive procedures.
    • Reviews the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information by performing detail tests.
    • Other duties as assigned. Become oriented with Company’s practices, policies, and culture.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

    Experience: 

    • Must have strong interpersonal and analytical skills and be proficient in spreadsheet/data processing software applications. Strong written and verbal communications skills required.

    Licenses/Certifications:

    • Since this is an intern level opening, applicants will be actively seeking certification at an undergraduate level.
