  • Overview

    The Lead Graphic Designer for Retail is an integral member of the Marketing and Retail teams, developing advertising, website, ecommerce promotion, email collateral, influencer, social media and other marketing, sales, in-store and promotional materials that reflect the Opry, Ryman, WSM, Ole Red and Opry Entertainment brands while achieving the objectives of specific programs and initiatives. The designer is responsible for helping to create greater audience engagement and ultimately sales through strategic and inspired work – while ensuring graphic brand standards are met across all marketing disciplines and contributing to work generated by brand marketing partners, retail partners and digital marketing teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Ideation and day-to-day creative production of ecommerce, email, instore, social media, event signage and more through multi-channel audience engagement.
    • Work in partnership with the Creative Director, Marketing and Retail teams and project stakeholders across the organization, to efficiently assess and solve design challenges. Included in this is determining appropriate material specifications from digital assets, printers, etc., to ensure files are built correctly and delivered in a timely manner.
    • Help maintain our weekly schedule of retail marketing and communications initiatives including email, ecommerce website, social media, in-store activations and more.
    • Stay current on retailing and brand activation trends – especially as those relate to music and Southern Lifestyle and advocate for customer experience in store and across communications.
    • Represent our team well through collaborative relationships with product development, including product designers, freelance artists and printers, while ensuring favorable pricing and prioritization of our needs.
    • Support the greater Marketing, Design and Retail teams with enthusiasm, creative insight and investment in long-term marketing plans
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Degree with emphasis in graphic design or a related field.

    Experience:

    • At least 6 years proven graphic design experience at an agency, in-house team or related client experience including ecommerce, print, social media, marketing, web optimization and file maintenance
    • Advanced knowledge and proven experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects a plus

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Creativity and versatility in designing solutions to marketing challenges – 1) ability to produce effective, persuasive sales and marketing designs for print and digital media, and 2) ability to produce professional concepts, page layouts with apt integration of copy, photography and illustrations, as necessary
    • Superior skill in the production of work from well-crafted design to tidy file structures and efficiency in managing files across vendor portals
    • Ability to organize information and elements across branding and campaign elements for consistency and quality
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
    • Enthusiasm for creativity, art, design mixed with fine attention to detail – and a passion for materials and installations.
    • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, and organizational skills an absolute must
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to supervise graphic design interns, freelance artists, craftsmen and agency staffers responsible for brand marketing projects

    Licenses/Certifications:
