  • Overview

    The Acquisition Marketing Manager – Concert Promotion is a member of the Acquisition Marketing team specifically responsible for planning and execution of advertising and promotional efforts for OEG concerts and events – including for Ryman Auditorium, the Opry, and occasionally, Ole Red.  The work will include working with clients/promoters/artist teams to develop and execute media and third-party promotions and street-level marketing programs to drive ticket sales, create shows’ awareness, and enhance our Company’s brand perception as an excellent concerts’ promoter.  This work connects directly with, and supports, Acquisition Marketing’s goals of attracting, acquiring, engaging, and monetizing audiences for the Company’s various brands.  This role involves a mix of self-directed and collaborative work, including close alignment with the Director of Concerts and Artist Relations and Programming team as well as operational leadership.

    Responsibilities

    • Clearly define and understand best audience targets and opportunities for each marketing campaign in order to optimize attendance results, ROI and customer experience.
    • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and execute strong media plans and promotional efforts across digital and traditional marketing channels that comply with client/promoter/artist team goals and requirements, adhere to established budgets and yield budgeted sales results. Coordinate and compare results of marketing campaigns, provide actionable insights, and adjust accordingly.
    • Working from approved plans, negotiate and place media buys including print, radio, television, and collaborate actively for digital/social media execution. Working with internal and 3rd party vendors, insure that creative deadlines are met, providing appropriate information/direction and taking int consideration all parties with approval requirements.  Traffic media to ensure that contracted ads and spots are run.  Process invoices and compile marketing settlements when necessary.  
    • Manage on-site marketing efforts at the Ryman including digital and static signage, flyers, and other collateral.
    • Ensure that Hatch Show Prints are created for appropriate events, collaborating with internal teams, clients and artists when necessary. Manage Hatch Show print library; logging new items and tracking inventory.  
    • Serve as backup to Ryman PR and in managing digital channels, photo/video shoots, artist interviews, red carpets, etc.
    • Ensure fulfillment of exposure elements of sponsorship agreements.
    • Cover on-site promotions, shows and events, as needed.
    • Work with Acquisition Marketing leadership and team members to ensure connectivity to the end goal of customer data acquisition.
    • Maintain close working relationships with all team members to ensure consistent brand messaging, alignment with strategic marketing plans, and cross-promotion optimization.

     

    Qualifications

    Education

    • BA or BS degree in business, marketing, or related field (e-commerce or computer science or degree a plus)


    Experience

    • 3+ years related experience
    • Music industry promotional experience a plus
    • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Power Point
    • Basic understanding of graphic design programs Adobe, Illustrator a plus
    • Proof reading experience a plus - copy and ad content


    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Strong understanding of the social media universe, including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
    • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills
    • Solid knowledge of web design, web development, content management, CRO and SEO.
    • Ability to be independent, yet collaborative and team-oriented
    • Must possess strong leadership skills
    • Strong project management skills required
    • Drive and commitment to exceed goals in a high-pressure work environment
    • Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities and project deadlines
    • Exceptional attention to detail; commitment to providing high quality work
