  • Overview

    Serves as Audio-Visual Technician and supporting Engineer, operating Audio, Video and Lighting equipment for music performances and special events held at “Ole Red” Nashville, ensuring world-class technical execution and the delivery of quality experiences for visiting artists, production teams and visitors.

    Responsibilities

    • Supports supervising Audio-Visual Engineer with the overall day-to-day technical operational needs for Sound, Lights, Video and Backline equipment required for all music performances and events at Ole Red Nashville.
    • Acts as primary Audio/Visual equipment operator for music performances and events.
    • Works with Ole Red General Manager and Supervising A-V Engineer to provide onsite production coordination during events, occasionally acting as Stage Manager as needed.
    • Works with Technical Services staff to practice preventative maintenance and repair of Audio-Visual-Lighting equipment and media appliances.
    • Works with Technical Services staff and visiting artists to assist with equipment load-in, set-up, tear-down and load-out of event production equipment as needed.
    • Interfaces with OEG Technical Services staff, RHP Information Technology staff and Other departments within the organization, with respect to technical systems.
    • Maintains operational understanding of current audio/visual/lighting/backline technologies and production vendors.
    • Ensures that all equipment is used safely, in accordance with proper industry standards, from the load in through the load out. Maintains a safe and secure environment for artists, clients, employees, etc. ensuring that all codes, laws, regulations and emergency procedures are followed.
    • Performs other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • High School diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as Audio or Video Engineer for a National Touring Act, Production Vendor/Supplier, Performance Venue and/or Hotel A/V department.
    • Hands on experience required with equipment repair procedures and maintenance. 

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Working knowledge of music, acoustics, stage lighting and video engineering is required.

    Licenses/Certifications:

    • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record required in order to operate company vehicles or drive on behalf of the company in any capacity
    • This position requires a pre-employment drug screening.
